I just got back, too. I got a bunch of storage for my pantry and craft room. I didn’t even spend any $$ thanks to the gift cards I won. ($50 with the trivia, $10 at the door)
Oh, and it was freezing out there at 5 am.

What a fun day today! It was great to watch on the big screen, all the ‘campers’ enter the building first when the doors opened. It seemed like a good turnout — not sure how it compared to other grand openings.
I got some PAX wardrobe pieces, a KLJIGSBO display case and some other little knick-knacks.
I thought the crowd and traffic control were well executed. I’m very pleased with our new, hometown IKEA!!!!

We just got back at 3pm this afternoon. Long day. I think we made three trips through the registers. We got some fabric and counterstools from the As Is and I got a Vika Amon table for my craft area. We didn’t do a lot of looking at the small stuff cause we can just make a run during lunch if we want I think that’s the one thing I’m most excited about realizing, that I don’t have to choose everything all at once, I can always come by after work to pick something up really quick!! Yea IKEA!!!

I just woke up from my nap.
I got there at 1:30am and was 106 in line. Fortunately for me, I didn’t realize I was that close until about 6:30 this morning - or I would have spent the better part of the night in a cold and bitter stew.
I don’t know how ya’ll did it for longer - I was fa-rozen, and I had on great gear and only exposed myself for 7.5 hours!
I also left around 11:30, actually skipping the meatballs because the line was insane-o. Oh, but the fun. And the carload of stuff.
You better sit down for this one…I spent over $700 today! New bed for the toddler along with storage and all kinds of wonderful things! Had an interview with the local Fox channel, meatballs for lunch and I got back to Columbus around 8:30pm!!! (I arrived at 4:15am, number apr 166 in line.)
My brother came from Indy, decided to buy a kind size bed AND strap it to the top of his Buick LeSabre!!! Crazy must run in the family.
Oh and I can’t forget the TWO bags of Daim I bought on the way out!
It’s so surreal.
